Ankle Tattoos For Women

Ankle Tattoos For WomenAnkle tattoos are a very popular spot for a tattoo amongst women, along with the wrist, hip, and shoulder blade. An ankle tattoo is a good place for a tattoo as it can be easily exposed or covered up with a quick change of clothing.

Women love to show off their ankles in summer, and a tattoo in this spot is quite sexy and mysterious.

Ankle tattoos for women come in a diverse range of designs, the most popular being butterflies, fairies, flowers and even kanji tattoos.

Just be aware that getting a tattoo in this spot can be quite painful as there is a lot of bone in that area. You may bleed a bit more after getting a tattoo on your ankle than on other areas of the body. After you get the tattoo, just be prepared to sit, relax and elevate your leg for quite a while. Don’t plan any long walks afterwards.

Don’t let the thought of pain stop you from getting an ankle tattoo, as they look amazing.

Shoulder Tattoos For Women

Sholder Tattoos For WomenShoulder tatoos are popular among both men and women. Women particularly seem to like this area for a tattoo because it adds a bit of mystery to a sexy area, but is not visible from the front or on most occasions and so is perfect if one wants to expose it as a fashion accessory, especially in summer and other conditions. Shoulder tattoos for women that are placed in this area range from small to large.

Many different tattoo designs work well in this area. Nautical stars, shooting stars, anchors and swallows, are all seen in shoulder tattoos. It’s also a great spot for memorial tattoos, as it’s wide and flat enough to get an image of a person’s face as well as memorial dates.

Women can use this spot for images like flowers, kanji, celestial themes and exotic pictures. The shoulder is hidden, so many women feel they can be adventurous with this area.

Tattoos For Women

Tattoos For WomenAfter tattoos became the norm in modern society, very few women got tattoos, and only those that did were in the minority and were seen as rebellious.

Around 20 years ago getting a tattoo became more acceptable, and this was attributed to celebrities who started getting tattoos and displaying them in public. Some of theses celebrities were women and so the tattoo became more acceptable on females.

A tattoo today is seen more like a fashion item, just like a pair of earrings and a handbag. A tattoo on a woman is seen as sexy and intriguing, and is no longer shocking. People don’t judge a woman’s character based on whether they have a few tattoos on their body.

Some of the most popular tattoo designs for women are: Butterfly tattoos, Tribal tattoos, Star Tattoos, Flower tattoos, Fairy tattoos, Heart tattoos, Dragonfly tattoos, Dolphin Tattoos, Celtic tattoos, Zodiac tattoos.

Sometimes women will get tattoos that are more suited to males, but they are modified to suit females. For example, a woman might choose to get a dragon tattoo, but have it coloured in a way that looks more feminine. Some women get flames, but have them colored in pink and purple instead of red and yellow. Other designs might be skull designs that have flowers incorporated into the design.

In future posts we will explore the meanings behind different tattoos for women.
