White Tiger Tattoo Designs
Posted by Printable Tattoo in Tattoo Designs on August 1st, 2009
White tiger tattoo designs are a great option if you are seeking the symbolic qualities of tigers with added feeling of exoticness.
Genetically, white tigers lack specific pigmentation that results in white fur, vertical black stripes, blue eyes, pink paws and pink noses.
In the wild, white tigers are unable to blend with their natural environments, making survival practically impossible. Their white coats hinder their ability to sneak up on prey causing many to die of starvation.
Many people who can identify with this “life-long struggle” seek white tiger tattoos while others may choose them to represent their own personal uniqueness or the fact they consider themselves special.
White tiger tattoos may also feature other artistic elements to increase the tattoo’s beauty or symbolic meaning. One such item is the tiger lily. This particular flower has been incorporated into many white tiger tattoos, as it is also known for its exotic appearance. Cherry blossoms and waterfalls are other elements that add beauty and color to many of today’s tiger tattoos.

Dolphin Tattoos
Posted by Printable Tattoo in Tattoo Designs on July 13th, 2009
Dolphin tattoos are extremely popular today. We have always believed that dolphins carry a divine spark and intelligence, that separates them from other animals, and we feel connected to them in a special way.
Dolphins to the ancient Greek and Roman sailors were symbols of protection and guidance. It was thought that dolphins would guide lost sailors back to their home land and rescue any sailors that fell overboard.
Dolphins are also seen as a way to connect the world of humans, and the underwater world of the sea. This form of connectedness has led to great innovations between dolphins and humans such as dolphin interaction and therapy. Swimming with dolphins has helped children to cope with handicaps, overcome learning challenges and soothed the suffering of individuals with severe depression or mental anguish.
Our fascination and love of this amazing creature has created a huge popularity in dolphin tattoos. Many people view dolphins and dolphin tattoos as highly symbolic – a benevolent protector, or a symbol of the joy and abundance.
If you feel connected in some way to the ocean and have a love for these amazing creatures, a dolphin tattoo may be just for you.

Foot Tattoo Designs
Posted by Printable Tattoo in Tattoo Designs on July 10th, 2009
Foot tattoo designs look unique and stand out and the foot is the perfect place for a tattoo as it is nice and flat. Foot tattoos are also rare and are seen as exotic.
The most popular tattoo designs on the foot are flower tattoos, letter tattoos and the star foot tattoo.
Foot tattoos are rare and some tattoo artists wont even undertake them, just like hand and face tattoos. This is because tattoos on the foot, hand and face are more painful than other tattoos, and take great skill by the tattoo artist to minimize this pain.
Basically if a tattoo is right over bone, then it will be more painful than having a tattoo over a fleshy part of the body. If you are not sure about the pain and are getting a tattoo for the first time, then choose a fleshy part of your body for your first tattoo.
A few things to be aware of if considering a tattoo on the foot include ‘ink migration’. There tends to be a greater incidence of ink migration with foot tattoo designs. This means the ink will probably spread over time, blurring your tattoo design. This can happen to any tattoo on any area of the body, but it’s more common with foot tattoos.
If you get a foot tattoo, just be aware that you may need to go back to your tattoo artist to get it re-inked. The best place to get a foot tattoo is on top of the foots as this is the place with least blurring. Just avoid the sides of your feet and toes.
Another thing to be aware of when getting a foot tattoo is the issue of healing. A new tattoo shouldn’t be rubbed against clothing while it heals which takes about 2 to 3 weeks. For most tattoos this is quite simple to manage, but with foot tattoos it’s a different matter. Depending on your tattoo designs, this may mean that you can’t wear shoes or socks for the whole time your tattoo is healing.
Besides these things, tattoo designs on the foot are exotic, rare and look stunning. But if you think it’s going to be too painful and you are unsure, just stick with a sholder or arm tattoo for now.
