Wrist Tattoos For Women

Wrist tattoos for women have become a popular way for women to show off their tattoos.
There are various different types of tattoos that can be tattooed on the wrist area:
- A bracelet or wristband style of tattoo. This usually encircles the entire wrist. It’s like an armband tattoo, but is placed around the wrist instead of the upper arm.
- A tattoo on the top of the wrist. This is usually the most visible, and can often extend onto the arm or hand.
- Tattoos on the inner wrist. These are very popular because they are less visible are extremely popular, largely because they are less visible than other tattoos and are considered more interesting than full wristband tattoos.
Women often choose the bracelet style of wrist tattoos, and choose such images as flowers, Celtic knot bands and even barbed wire.
Other popular images for wrist tattoos include stars, compasses, words and names, hearts and kanji. Simple designs are usually placed on the wrist as it’s not a huge area of the body.
Just be aware when getting a wrist tattoo that it can be quite painful as there isn’t much fat and muscle to cushion the needle. It might also take quite a while to heal, more than a tattoo on a another area of ones body because of the high mobility of this area.

Foot tattoo designs look unique and stand out and the foot is the perfect place for a tattoo as it is nice and flat. Foot tattoos are also rare and are seen as exotic.
The most popular tattoo designs on the foot are flower tattoos, letter tattoos and the star foot tattoo.
Foot tattoos are rare and some tattoo artists wont even undertake them, just like hand and face tattoos. This is because tattoos on the foot, hand and face are more painful than other tattoos, and take great skill by the tattoo artist to minimize this pain.
Basically if a tattoo is right over bone, then it will be more painful than having a tattoo over a fleshy part of the body. If you are not sure about the pain and are getting a tattoo for the first time, then choose a fleshy part of your body for your first tattoo.
A few things to be aware of if considering a tattoo on the foot include ‘ink migration’. There tends to be a greater incidence of ink migration with foot tattoo designs. This means the ink will probably spread over time, blurring your tattoo design. This can happen to any tattoo on any area of the body, but it’s more common with foot tattoos.
If you get a foot tattoo, just be aware that you may need to go back to your tattoo artist to get it re-inked. The best place to get a foot tattoo is on top of the foots as this is the place with least blurring. Just avoid the sides of your feet and toes.
Another thing to be aware of when getting a foot tattoo is the issue of healing. A new tattoo shouldn’t be rubbed against clothing while it heals which takes about 2 to 3 weeks. For most tattoos this is quite simple to manage, but with foot tattoos it’s a different matter. Depending on your tattoo designs, this may mean that you can’t wear shoes or socks for the whole time your tattoo is healing.
Besides these things, tattoo designs on the foot are exotic, rare and look stunning. But if you think it’s going to be too painful and you are unsure, just stick with a sholder or arm tattoo for now.
